Social and Emotional Learning

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is an integral aspect of our curriculum. Social and Emotional Learning is the process for integrating thinking, feeling and behaviour to achieve important social/life tasks, meet personal and social needs and develop the skills necessary to become a productive, contributing member of society.

Circle Time is a strategy we implement in SEL. Circle Time is a group way of learning that is based on core values, has rules and uses a method. The values include mutual respect, equal opportunity and inclusiveness. All students have equal opportunities within the circle.

Circle Time includes activities such as welcoming games, mixing games, team building games, rapport building games and reflection time.
