Learning and Teaching


 

Our curriculum is developed and framed within the guidelines of AusVELS. AusVELS describe what are the essential learnings for students from Prep to Year 10 in Victorian Schools.

The AusVELS includes standards at 11 levels. These levels are broadly associated with the years of schooling from Prep to Year 10. The relationship between the levels and the years of schooling is:

  • Foundation - Preparatory Year
  • Level 1  - Year 1
  • Level 2 -  Year 2
  • Level 3 -  Year 3
  • Level 4 - Year 4
  • Level 5 - Year 5
  • Level 6 -  Year 6
  • Level 7 - Year 7
  • Level 8 - Year 8
  • Level 9 - Year 9
  • Level 10 - Year 10

The AusVELS curriculum forms the basis for curriculum planning and the reporting of student progress in three interrelated strands. These are:
